Dojo Chattanooga Uniform and Equipment Policy

Uniform Code:
1. All students should own a traditonal complete uniform (jacket and pants). The full uniform is always appropriate for class wear and is required in the following circumstances: -- Rank Examination / Promotion -- Formal Saturday Classes -- Public Demonstrations 2. Students are allowed to not wear the jacket during regular class training sessions. However, the uniform pants should be worn (or a black workout pant is also allowed) and a Dojo t-shirt or a plain black t-shirt. T-shirt’s must be tucked in and the rank belt/sash must be worn. 3. If occasional circumstance requires that you cannot be in proper unifom code you are still welcome to attend class. HOWEVER, THE BELT/SASH SHOULD NOT BE WORN. 4. Students should be barefoot or in footware that meets the instructor’s approval for cleanliness and safety (smooth sole and low profile shoe). 5. Uniform Cost: Youth Kenpo Uniform (sizes 000 - 2): $30. Adult Kenpo Uniform (sizes 3 - 6): $35, Adult XL Kenpo Uniform (sizes 7 - 8): $39. Wing Chun Uniform (sizes 3 - 6): $39 Wing Chun XL Uniform (sizes 7 -8 ): $45 |
Equipment Requirements:
Students are allowed to purchase sparring gear and participate in sparring training upon receiving the Yellow Belt/Sash Ranking. Students are required to purchase sparring gear and participate in sparring training at Orange Belt/Sash ranking if they intend to continue to advance through the rankings. YOUTH KENPO: The following equipment is required in dipped foam: Head Gear ($30), Hand Gear ($30), Footgear ($30), Shin Guards ($25), Mouthpiece ($2), and for males Cup & Supporter ($9). NOTE that when purchased as a complete set we discount the total by 10%. ADULT KENPO / WING CHUN: Head gear ($30), Face Cage ($60), MMA 7 oz Glove ($39), Mouthpiece ($2). If you wear martail art shoes already then... Shin/Instep Guard ($30). If you are training barefoot then... (Shin Guard ($25) and Footgear ($30). Male Cup and Supporters: Standard Cup ($9), Outside Cup ($16). Again, please NOTE that when purchased as a complete set we discount the total by 10%. Sparring Training is offered most Wednesday and Thursday classes. Gear should always be brought on those two class days. Thankyou. |
