Our convenient North Shore location is equipped with a mix of modern and traditional martial arts and fitness training equipment to meet the needs of our students. The feel of our space captures the industrial roots of Chattanooga, the
“Zen” simplicity and function of a traditional Dojo, and a welcoming sense of family and community.
| The Haines Family...
Trevor, Patricia, and their four children (Zachary, Jenna, Madison, and Jacob) moved to Chattanooga from Sacramento, California in August of 2004 and opened Dojo Chattanooga the following year.
Everyone in the Haines family is a Black Belt in Kenpo -- making Dojo truly a family business. Patricia did all of the interior design work for the Dojo and is the Dojo’s social ambassador. |
About Trevor Haines...
Trevor Haines is the founder of Five Animal Kenpo, a 6th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, a Sifu (Black Sash) in Wing Chun Kung-fu, and has a Master of Arms Degree from the French Fencing Federation. His martial arts background began in 1977 in Sacramento, California and he has taught martial arts since 1986 as his full time career.
Mr. Haines has also produced an instructional DVD series on Five Animal Kenpo that has been featured nationally in Black Belt Magazine, Inside Kung-fu, and the Journal of Asian Martial Arts.
