Yesterday (4/4/2011) Jamila tied Clint's record of 10 in the youth end of the class challenge "Jump and Duck."  Clint's ten jumps was set back in August of 2011.  Congrats Jamila!
 
 
Sat. March 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will be the Nunchaku Seminar at Dojo Chattanooga instructed by owner Trevor Haines.  Regular class schedule will still be offered from 9:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.  However, NO WING CHUN CLASS at 1:00 p.m. 

The three aspects of nunchaku handling skills will be taught (vice, club, and flail) with an emphasis on flailing.  Variety of grips, hand interchanges, and striking angles will be drilled including target practice on bags.   Seminar cost is $30.  Weapon cost is $10.

Note:  The follow up seminar on nunchaku fighting applications will be held on Sat. April 7th also from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the same class offerings and adjustments as explained above.

Kenpo students will have the opportunity for Belt Ranking Examinations soon.  Two testing dates (held during regular class times) will be available:  Thursday Dec. 15th and Monday Dec. 19th.  Students are required to wear full traditional uniform (jacket and pants with belt).  Testing Fees are due at the time of the exam:  $25 for beginning and intermediate levels (testing for ranks below Blue Belt) and $35 for advanced and refinement levels (ranks Blue Belt and higher).  Best of luck to each of the testing candidates. 

NOTE:  Non Kenpo classes will still be held on these days as regularly scheduled.  Kenpo class times on these testing days will be devoted exclusively to the testing process.  Thank you.
